RURAL ORGANISATION FOR SOCIAL SERVICE
ROSS is one of the leading Voluntary Organization in Udalguri BTAD Assam. It was established in the year 1991 and registered under Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 bearing registration No.RS/2765 of 1991-1992 Dated 13-12-1991. The Organization is also registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 1976, bearing Registration No: 020740038.
Rural Organization for Social Service (ROSS) is a non-profit making, non governmental, non sectarian and non political organization. ROSS is secular in nature irrespective of caste, creed and religion. During the last 25 years. ROSS has taken up various measures to develop and strengthen grass people, Community Based Organization (CBOs), development of women’s organization, formation of SHG groups with micro saving micro insurance etc.
Rural Organization for Social Service (ROSS) is also providing professional education to many students in the Bodoland area through ROSS Open University which is affiliated under Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University, Guwahati Assam .
Rural Organization for Social Service (ROSS) is also associated with Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprise for conducting different training program like Industrial Motivation Campaign, Entrepreneurship Development Programs. Entrepreneur Skill Development Program since from the last 03 years. ROSS is also associated with Rashtriya Gramin Vikash Nidhi (RGVN) for formation of CBO’s for the improvement of the economic condition of the rural poor people.
